THE OLD BEAR. Directed by Julie Busse and Candice Odgers. When old bears go to the mountain for the last time, they aren't just digging their den - they're digging their graves. Through the interweaving of family stories with the final days of bears in the Alaskan wilderness, "The Old Bear" reflects on what nature can teach us about parenthood, aging, and death. Filmmakers in attendance.
PEAKS TO PRAIRIES: A HOLISTIC REGENERATIVE APPROACH. Directed by Chad Weber. How can we harness the intelligence of nature to address our climate challenges? An epidemic of wildfires threatens forests in the peaks, while nearby agricultural soils in the prairie sit degraded. Is there a holistic way these two problems could serve as solutions for each other? Did somebody say Mushrooms? Watch the trailer. Filmmakers in attendance.
